Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote the bold claim: “When Christ calls a man, He bids him come and die.” This is consistent with the “radical” nature of what it means to be a Christian! Jesus was radical. The Church is called to be a radical movement. And each of us, individually, is called to be radical in our obedience to Jesus.
