Elder Candidate - Craig Hopkins
The elders are excited to present Craig Hopkins as a new elder candidate to our Colonial Family. Craig and Kristie have been a part of Colonial Church since 2004. They have been married for 28 years and have two kids in their twenties. Craig has served the Colonial family in many different ways over the years as seasons change and new needs arise. He has been a part of the Worship Team, Kids Team, Student Team, Welcome Team, and the Deacon Team, and is currently leading small group discussions with our elementary kids on Sundays as well as serving as a deacon.
Serving as an elder at Colonial is to serve the church in leadership of the overall vision and future direction of the church, ensuring our teachings and practices reflect accurate biblical theology, provide accountability to staff leadership, and so much more. To be considered for eldership, one must be a member of Colonial for at least two years and meet the character qualities from 1 Timothy 3:1-13.
According to the Colonial Church bylaws the current elders nominate new elder candidates after a prayerful and robust interview process before presenting to the church. Now that the 30 day feedback period is complete, members of Colonial Church have the opportunity to vote to approve Craig as a new elder by filling out the form below.
Thank you for being a part of this process and a part of this family!
