Hurricane Harvey has brought flooding and destruction to south Texas affecting tens of thousands of lives
The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
the Lord sits enthroned as king forever.
As we watch the news coverage and hear the stories from South Texas we cannot help but want to help. God calls us to love our neighbors and while He doesn't call us to do the same thing we can be sure that whatever He calls us to do, He isn't calling us to do nothing!
"So how can I help," you ask? Here are a few ways you can help!
Pray for all those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. Pray for God's presence and peace to be with them. Pray for those who have lost friends or family to the storm.
As the destruction of the storm piles up, hundreds of thousands of families have been directly affected. The relief and reconstruction will not be quick. Consider donating financially to help those devastated recover. You can donate to a number of organizations or you can donate through Colonial Church. 100% of the funds donated through Colonial marked for relief will go to organizations the church partners with or directly to churches in the affected areas.
